Masha, Estonia (Tallinn Restaurant Week)
And again, it snows and is a beautiful walk through Tallinn to our last restaurant during Tallinn Restaurant Week.
Restaurant was pretty dark and not many visitors. We were welcomed and shown were is closet for outerwear that we had to put to closet ourselves.
- Pancakes with shrimp salad and salmon caviar
- Chicken kiev with smoked cheese and warm zucchini
- Quark pancakes with lemon cream and fresh berries
Our starter portion was decent and tasted good. But before i got to finish mine, waitress was standing next to our table with the next course. I felt rushed and that's something i don't like when eating. I tried to finish my last pancake as fast as i could.
Chicken kiev was dry without melted butter and zucchini was squashy. And again she was at our table asking can the cook start preparing our dessert. We had just started our main. I didn't understand why were they rushing us because restaurant wasn't full, not even half full. We asked her to wait at least 10 minutes with dessert.
I was sad when my quark pancakes were dry and didn't taste that much of curd but flour. And there was too small spoonful of jam and it's juices to moist quark pancakes on my plate.
Not the best experience to end our restaurant week in 2016.
